Bratislava History Project - UKSK WWII

Press Coverage

Winton's visit to Bratislava generated a significant amount of international press coverage. There were television reports in Slovakia and Britain (see links below) but most notably there was an extended item written and presented by one of Winton's 'children' himself, Joe Schlesinger for Canadian national broadcasters CBC.

The film was shot by Bob Hilscher who, like Joe Schlesinger, was kind enough to spend time talking to students. The film also features our students interviewing Nicholas Winton and being interviewed in the Carlton Hotel.

The film was broadcast in Canada on November 6th 2008.
